He was predeceased by: his parents, D. T. Ramey and Eva McCroskey Ramey; and his siblings, Phil Ramey and Judy Palmer. He is survived by: the mother of his child Shirley Hart Ramey; his daughter Teresa Shedd of Baldwin, Georgia; his grandchildren, Mike Coker, Amanda Coker, Austin Coker, Isaac Shedd and Isaiah Shedd; and his sister Gail Hargrove of Toccoa. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
