He was predeceased by: his wife Caroline Lord Hardy; his daughters, Sandra Allen and Lynn Hardy; and his grandson Dillon Hamby. He is survived by: his children, Joy Burt (Robert), Mike Hardy (Carol) and Marlon Hardy (Pam). He is also survived by his nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ivie Funeral Home (1053 S Elm St, Commerce, GA 30529). The lying in state was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the New Hope Baptist Church (211 Stapler Dr, Nicholson, GA 30565). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at the Howington Cemetery Memorial.
