He was predeceased by: his parents, Odell Massey and Lessie Keesee Massey of Commerce; his wife Blondine Seagraves Massey; his sister Joyce Wise; and his son-in-law Waldo Royal.

He is survived by: his daughters, Wanda Royal and Connie Garrison (Darrell); his grandchildren, Wendy Royal, Wendell Royal, Anna Garrison and Amber Garrison; and his great grandchildren, Austin, Amelia and Adalyn Royal.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a church of choice or The Gideon's International.
