He was predeceased by: his father Ottis Fortner; his son Lee Fortner; and his siblings, Gary Fortner and Joyce McNabb. He is survived by: his mother Mary Pursley; his wife Patty Hayes Fortner; his children, Troy Fortner (Diane), Michael Fortner (Stephanie), Terry Fortner, Brandon Fortner, Tanya Fortner, Mary Beth Martin (Scott) and Alisha Leroy (Bobby); and his siblings, Roger Fortner and Louise Collins. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
