He was predeceased by: his parents, John Thomas 'JT Simmons Jr. and Mary Odessa McCallum Simmons. He is survived by: his child Missy; his wife Carolyn Prickett Simmons of Commerce; his children, Melissa Madden of Jefferson, Susan Goins of Jefferson and Dr. Sammy Simmons of Commerce; and his sister Esther Ruth Simmons of Smyrna. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
