He is survived by: his children, John Michael Adams (Davida) and Jessica Lee Buffington (Robby); his friend Bobby Lance; his grandchildren, Tristan, Josie, Madison, Jaylyn, Emily Cameron, Christian and Chloe; and his siblings, J. C. Adams (Rosie), Jeannie Dempsey (David), Sara Ann Turner, Pearly Mae Score (Dave), Lucy Ogden (Floyd) and Ruby Watson.
