He was predeceased by: his parents, James Oscar Brown and MaeLinda Faulkner McLennan; his brother Jim Brown; and his grandson Alex Brown. He is survived by: his girlfriend Elaine Beauchamp of Commerce; his children, Mark Brown of Commerce, Jackie Nixon (Ricky) of Athens and Charlie Brown of Commerce; and his sisters, Tilly Wilson of North Carolina and Kay Hill of Maysville. He is also survived by three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
