She was predeceased by: her stepmother Vonner Tolbert; her brothers, Buford, Bobby Ray and Luther Tolbert; and her children, Elaine Aaron and Steve Ward (Clyde Ward).
She is survived by: her husband Matthew Chatham of Gillsville; her great grandchildren, Eli Hewell of Gillsville and Susannah Hewell of Gillsville; her sisters, Barbara Colwell of North Carolina, Eula May Neese of Pendergrass, Brenda Langford of Maysville, Carolyn Rhome of Athens, Patsy Ginn of Athens and Betty Sue Tolbert of Athens; and also Celena Chatham (Dwayne) of Talmo.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 105 Westpark Drive, Suite C, Athens, Georgia 30606.
