She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Thomas and Ada Patton; her husband James Armell Steele; and her siblings, Fred Patton, Thomas Patton, Frances Headspeth, Doris Reagin, Gertrude Patton and Hilda Patton.
She is survived by: her daughter Vivian Steele. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
