He was predeceased by: his parent Walter R.; and his siblings, Charles E. Mathews, Howard Mathews and Dyanne Mathews Mize. He is survived by: his parent Ernestine Faust Mathews; his spouse Ellen Peeples Mathews; his children, Barry W. Mathews (Jennifer) of Comer and Tara Wood (Dustin) of Lexington; his sister LynAnne Mathews of Lake Ann; and his nephews, Hunter Mathews and Chandler Mathews. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces.
