He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Matty and Theresa Matty; and his son Matthew Scott Matty. He is survived by: his wife Leigh Vassar Matty; his children, Patrick Adam Matty and Michelle Matty Helms (Richard); his stepdaughters, Chelsey Armstrong (Andy) and Chaney McGehee (Jason); his granddaughters, Sarah Matty Patterson, Jessica Scott Matty, Danielle Matty, Devin Alexis Helms and Autumn Olivia Helms; and his brothers, Francis Matty and Raymond Matty.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Grace Presbyterian Church (7211 Britton Dr, Columbus, GA 31904).
