He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James DuPont Kirven, Jr. and Shirley Armentrout Kirven; his wife Elizabeth "Beth" Stone Kirven; his children, Elizabeth Stone Kirven Oettinger (John) and Phillip Elliott Kirven, Jr. (DeAun); his grandchildren, Libba, Leo, Riggs and Ella; and his siblings, Frances Kirven Morse (John), Hal Armentrout Kirven (Carol) and James "Tippy" DuPont Kirven III (Frankie). He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
