With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Patsy Jean Rathel (Columbus, Georgia), who passed away on March 17, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mose Edeker and Mildred Spencer Edeker; her stepmother Billie McQuagg Edeker (Jerry Wayne Rathel); her sons, Jerry Wayne Rathel II and Stephen LaDon Rathel; and her siblings, Donald Edeker (Geraldine), Frankie Dean Webb (Mason), Reggie Williamson, Rhonda Kay Edeker, Donna Belle Edeker and Moselle Delana Edeker.
She is survived by: her son Darren Patrick Rathel; her daughter-in-law Wonda Rathel Johnson (Daniel); her sister Barbara Darlene Laney; her grandchildren, Tiffany Rathel Hash (Daniel), Zachary Stephen Rathel (Kaylyn), Diana Rathel Prince, Jessica Rathel, Benjamin Rathel and Victoria Rathel; her great grandchildren, Madison Leigh Hash, Waylon Stephen Rathel, Molly Drew Rathel, Merritt Wylder Rathel, Erika Jamie Dean, Jordan Elise Prince, Jacqueline Ava Prince, Isabella Olivia Crooke, Grayson Robert Rathel and Joey Evan Jillson; and her caregiver Carol Foley. She is also survived by other loving nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
