In loving memory of Mary Dee Wakefield of Columbus, Georgia, born in Crookston, Minnesota, who departed this world on April 3, 2025 at the age of 74. She was predeceased by: her husband Kenneth Wakefield; her parents, Ella Hanson and Alfon Hanson; and her brother David Hanson. She is survived by: her birth mother Sylvia Nelson; her daughters, Jennifer Lee (Brent) and Julie Toole (Michael); and her grandchildren, Noah Lee, Avery Lee and Madison Crisp.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Historic Chapel of Pierce Chapel Methodist Church. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pierce Chapel's Building by Faith fund (5122 Pierce Chapel Rd, Midland, Ga 31820, United States), or Columbus Hospice.
