She was predeceased by: her husband Arter Smith Dansby (Sonny); and her parents, Walter Arthur Brown and Gertrude Touchton Brown Harden. She is survived by: her children, Carol Dansby Malphrus (Linc) and Bruce Arter Dansby (Becky); her grandchildren, Brandi Portell (Mike), Roger Owens (Candace), BJ Dansby (Sam), Tamara Bollinger (Garrett), Zahara Dansby, Celeste Dansby, Analise Dansby, Lily Dansby and Sophia Dansby; her great grandchildren, Bradley Smith, Landon Portell, Lola Owens, Lottie Owens, Eve Bollinger and Aria Bollinger; and her sister Martha Tillery (Donnie).
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Northside Baptist Church (959 54th St, Columbus, GA 31904). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Parkhill Cemetery (4161 Macon Rd, Columbus, GA 31907).
As a breast cancer survivor, she felt lead to help other women affected by breast cancer and also participated in fundraising efforts for the Breast Cancer Association.
