He was predeceased by: his parents, Jimmy Gilmer and Myrtle Gilmer; and his sisters, Eleanor Gilmer and Patsy Wright. He is survived by: his brother Rusty Gilmer (Linda); his wife Edna Brescia Gilmer; his children, Wren Daniels, Jessica Livingston (Scotty), Jeremy Gilmer (Megan) and Julie Hammond (Chris); his grandchildren, Tabetha Getz (Bruce), Seth Daniels, Joshua Daniels (Ashleigh), Luke Daniels, Jamie, Taylor Livingston, Teddy, Ruby Hammond, James and Jack Gilmer; his great grandchildren, Edie, Brucie and Vivien Getz; and his pet Auburn.
