With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Joseph Drew Jr. of Columbus, Georgia, born in Fort Benning, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 5, 2024 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his sister Victoria; his in-laws, J. P. and Mona Allen; his brother Robert; and his sister-in-law Patricia Cottle.
He is survived by: his wife Dolores; his sons, John III (Ashley), Christopher Allen (Muriel) and Michael Wesley Drew; his brother Thomas E. Drew; his sister-in-law Barbara D. Drew; his nephew Thomas E. Drew Jr.; his niece Terri D. Massa; his grandchildren, Christopher, Savannah, John IV, William, Mary Elizabeth and Lucille; and his pet Sweetie.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory (3874 Gentian Blvd, Columbus, GA 31907). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Holy Family Church (320 12th St, Columbus, GA 31901).
