He is survived by: his wife Jeanelle; his children, John Dennis (Cindy), Joseph Dale (Janice), Joel Dean (Laura), David Anthony (Diane) and Deborah Lynn (Ron); and his grandchildren, John Jr., Amanda, Erin, Hannah, Rachel, Joseph, Rebecca, Jonathan, Sarah, Jeremy, Deanna, Justin, Savanna, Joel, Jennifer, Robert, Angel, Gracie, James and Robbie.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hunter Road Baptist Church (1803 Hunter Rd, Cataula, GA 31804). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
