He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Laird, Sr. and Minnie Irby Laird. He is survived by: his wife Izella Laird; his siblings, Matthew Laird, Sr. (Vanette) and Lillie; his cousin Bernice Wright (Sheila Anderson); and his sister-in-law Joyce Greene (David). He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
