It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Nolan Mixon of Columbus, Georgia, born in Metter, Georgia, who passed away on April 4, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Lester Mixon and Vera Sandford (Beckworth); his sons, Kenneth "Kenny" Lamar Mixon and Charles "David" Mixon; and his brother Charles Wadus Mixon.

He is survived by: his wife Lucy Coley Mixon (Stevens); his sons, Randolph "Randy" Mixon (Stace) and James "Jimmy" Mixon (Alice); and his stepchildren, Julie (Marvin), John (Pat) and Will (Kathy). He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
