He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur James and Annie Bell Crowell-Johnson. He is survived by: his sons, David Gibson (Valerie) and Hardy Hollinhead, Jr.; and his siblings, Tommy Hollinhead (Rashay), Diane Keel (John), Carrie Tolliver, Millie Evans (Charles) and Shirley Greenleaf (Jason).
