She was predeceased by: her parents, Roosevelt Martin, Sr. and Clara Martin. She is survived by: her husband Christopher Carter; her daughter Precious McDonald (Timothy); her siblings, Roosevelt Martin, Jr., Debra West (Eddie) and Charlene Neal; and her granddaughter Zoe McDonald.
