He was predeceased by: his mother Gertrude Crockett Wade (Trudy). He is survived by: his father George Emmett "Sonny" Wade, Jr.; his wife Alice Skinner Wade; his sons, George Emmett Wade IV, William Andrew Wade and Wesley Crockett Wade; his sister Cissy Wade Clark (Will); and his stepsiblings, Walkie K. Trawick (Connie) and Lesley Trawick. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
