He was predeceased by: his parents, Corwin E. Hinson and Alta Green Hinson; his wife Clara E. Hinson; his siblings, Corwin E. "Pete" Hinson, James W. Hinson and Sandra K. Alisha; his foster daughter Patricia A. Phillips; his son-in-law Dennis C Jantz; and his great great grandchild Jayson W Gordon.
He is survived by: his children, Brenda Kay Jantz of Columbus and Charles C. "Chuck" Hinson (Mary) of Jupiter; his grandchildren, Heather Rourk (Nick) of Columbus and Kelly Lalley (Brian) of Columbus; his great grandchildren, Jeremy Gordon (Kayla) of Smiths, Justin Jantz (Ashley) of Phenix City, Austin Warr (Megan) of Eufaula and Nathan Rourk of Columbus; and his great great grandchildren, Luke Gordon, Khori Gordon, Ashtyn Jantz, Hayvyn Jantz and Amelia Warr.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory (3874 Gentian Blvd, Columbus, GA 31907). The military honors was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the Fort Mitchell National Cemetery (553 AL-165, Fort Mitchell, AL 36856).
