He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Aaron Hopkins, Sr. and Helen Hammack Rugg. He is survived by: his wife Jackie Hopkins of Columbus, GA; his children, Milton Hopkins of Columbus, GA and Shannon Williamson (Dustin) of Cataula, GA; his siblings, Beverly Taylor (Gene) of Phenix City, AL. and Patrick Higham (Leslie) of Dallas, GA.; his grandchildren, Abby Williamson of Cataula, GA. and Benjamin Williamson of Cataula, GA.; and his nephew Charles Mixon of Columbus, GA.

A funeral service was held on Monday, October 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the McMullen Funeral Home Chapel (3874 Gentian Blvd, Columbus, GA 31907). Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 16th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Wednesday, October 16th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery (553 AL-165, Fort Mitchell, AL 36856).
