He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Jones and Lounette Spivey Harvard; his former wives, Doretha Dorman Jones and Ann Stuart Jones; and his sister Grace Flowers.

He is survived by: his children, Wendy Werner (Mark) of Columbus, GA, Tracy Platus (Joey) of Columbus, GA and Franklin Jones (late Becky Lynn Jones) of Phenix City. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
