She was predeceased by: her parent J. W. Gaines; her husband Ricky Dennis Dowdy; and her brother John Cary Gaines. She is survived by: her mother Doris Ethredge Gaines of Baker County; her daughters, Jill Dowdy Dozier of Baker County and Jana Dowdy Bass (Clark) of Leslie; her sister Kay Kelley (Steven) of Newton; and her grandchildren, Aida Dozier, Anna Dozier, Davis Dozier, Blake Bass and Clay Bass. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Social distancing will be required and masks are recommended.

“I am so very sorry to hear of your family's loss! I went to school with Patty and Ricky at SGA. She was always smiling and full of energy. I can still see that pretty ponytail of hers swinging as she walked by with Ricky! She was beautiful inside and out! Years after school I would see her time and again the same sweet beautiful Patty!!
