She is survived by: her sons, W. C. Purvis, Jr. (Lisa) of Guyton, Mark Purvis (Kathy) of Baxley and Thomas Purvis (Pam) of Brooklet; her grandchildren, Erin Purvis (Jenny) of Woodstock, Kristen Davis (Richard Edwards) of Guyton, Amy Nettles (Mike) of Springfield, Leanna Cowart (Barry) of Brooklet, Amanda Smith of Statesboro and Michelle Ross of Virginia Beach, Virginia; her siblings, Jeanette Darden of Vidalia and Fred Meeks of Collins; and her sister-in-law Gail Meeks of Bainbridge, Georgia. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kennedy Funeral Homes~cobbtown Chapel (GA-121, Cobbtown, GA). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Pine Grove Church (3317 Pinegrove Church Rd, Collins, GA 30421). A graveside service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at the Anderson Cemetery.
