She was predeceased by: her husband Calvin Anderson; her parents, Thomas Eugene Akins and Carolie Mulling Akins; and her siblings, Doris Akins Lanigan, Henry Akins, Blanche Akins Lanigan, Zelda Akins Slomer, Inez Akins Davis and J. T. Akins.

She is survived by: her daughter Kimberly Anderson Brinson of Collins.
