It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lillian Griffin (Collins, Georgia), who passed away on January 31, 2020, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Harvey Smith and Tackler Smith; her grandmother Bell Smith; her brothers, Guyton Smith and Thurman Smith; her granddaughter Charity F. Smith; her children, Carolyn Griffin Cobb of Collins and Melvin Smith (Sandra) of Collins; her grandson Patrick Cobb (Jeanette) of Fitzgerald; her sisters, Novella McKinnon of Claxton, Lorine Smith Holmes of Jacksonville, FL, Corine Smith Griffin of Marshville, NC and Margie Smith Sharpe (Richard) of Chicago, IL; her sister-in-law Lavern Walker Smith of Reidsville; and her godson Robert Cleveland (Pat) of Jacksonville, FL. She was also cherished by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of relatives and friends.

She had two sisters, Nana Bell Smith and Doretha Smith Griffin; two brothers, Guyton Smith and Thurman Smith; a granddaughter, Charity F. Smith who preceded her in death.
