He was predeceased by: his parents, George Johnson and Lessie Lynn Johnson; and his wife Marion Swaney Johnson. He is survived by: his children, Vann Johnson (Regina) of Collins, Stacey Oliver (Ronnie) of Collins, Daniel Johnson (Amanda) of Collins and David Johnson of Collins. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
