He is survived by: his wife Geraldine Tapley Whitaker of Collins; his children, Michelle Crews (Joey) of Hoboken and Tanner Justin Whitaker of Collins; his stepdaughter Georgi Banks of Valdosta; his sister Gloria Glisson of Reidsville; and his grandchildren, Katrina, Mallory and Deanna Norton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
