It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Susan Lavern Thompson of Coleman, Georgia, born in Edison, Georgia, who passed away on January 23, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frederick Francis and Emma Lavern Griffin Gleaton; her husband Patrick "Sonny" Henry Thompson, III; and her brother Griffin Gleaton. She is survived by: her daughters, Tamara Taylor (Scott) of Coleman, Valerie Dunning of Americus, Amye Murdock (Bill) of Coleman and Suzette Taylor (Eric) of Eufaula, AL; her siblings, Gail Bell (David) of Dawson and Freddie Gleaton (Janet) of Ft. Gaines; her sisters-in-law, Bobbie Gleaton of Blakely and Linda Kolbie (Jimmy) of Pelham; her grandchildren, Ashley Hathorn (Jay), Patrick Dunning, Tyler Dunning, Drew Taylor (Jessica), Will Murdock, Brooke Taylor, Kelly Rice (Tyler), Kathryn Todd (Dalton), Alana Taylor, Grayson Middleton and Gleaton Middleton; and her great grandchildren, Mac Hathorn, Lleyton Dunning, Jerry Dunning, Ella Todd, Emma Todd, Sarah Dunning, Josie Taylor, Sunnie Claire Rice and Tate Todd. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
