He was predeceased by: his parents, Sarge Chapman and Mildred Hopkins Abercrombie; and his siblings, Charles Chapman and Barbara Abercrombie. He is survived by: his wife Athena Chapman of Colbert; his daughter Stacy Chapman of Gainesville; his granddaughter Lily Dunagan of Flowery Branch; his adoptive sons, Jeremy, Dennis Roper and David Arroway; and his siblings, Alan Chapman of Duluth, William Abercrombie of Gainesville and Jackie Mashburn of Oakwood. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, along with many beloved friends.
