It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jack Fortson of Colbert, Georgia, born in Madison, Georgia, who passed away on June 16, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Ed Fortson and Lois McConnell Fortson; his wife Marian Rogers Fortson; and his siblings, Stewart Fortson (J. S.), Glen Fortson, Edd Fortson and Hilda Strickland.
He is survived by: his sons, Roger D. Fortson (Kim) and Keith H. Fortson (Sandra); his grandsons, Brandon Fortson (Brittany), Blake Fortson, Keenan Fortson and Kyler Fortson; and his great grandchildren, Lane and Penelope.
Due to the circumstances of the pandemic, masks can be worn, but are not required.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Georgia Sheriff's Youth Homes or a charity of your choice, in honor of his name.
