He is survived by: his wife Carol Grove of Cohutta; his sons, Paul Gove of Roswell and James Smith of Ringgold; his sisters, Sarah Albright of Pennsylvania and Jean Dubbs of South Carolina; and his grandchildren, Harely Barnes, Curtis Barnes, Jimbo Smith, Isaiah Smith, Charity Smith, Matthew Grove and Samantha Stirnemann. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
