He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Ward and Ruby Ward; and his siblings, Ross Ward, Jean Swanson, Margie Ward, Barbara Quinn and Donna Williams.

He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Ward; his son Robbie; his daughter-in-law Kim Ward of Etowah; his daughter Debbie; and his son-in-law Chris Long of Cohutta. He is also survived by granddaughters. 7 great-grandchildren: several nieces and nephews.
