He was predeceased by: his mother Anna Horton; his stepdaughter Donna Mathis; and his siblings, Gean Morgan and Marty Morgan. He is survived by: his daughter Shonna Horton Cross (Philip) of Cohutta; and his grandchildren, Tavyan Baker, Keyonte Baker, Ethan Baggett, Cody Baggett and Lillie Cross.
