She was predeceased by: her former husband Luke Cox, Sr.; her sons, Luke Cox, Jr., Philip Cox and David Cox; and her grandson Garrett Cox.

She is survived by: her sister Bertha Harkins of LaFayette, GA; and her friend Retha Mitchell. She is also survived by her four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.

In lieu of flowers please make donations in Elsie's name to Rock Springs Baptist Church.
