It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bobby Joe Swinney of Cohutta, Georgia, born in Dalton, Georgia, who passed away on December 14, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Troy Howard and Jessie Sutton Swinney (Debra Ann Swinney); his granddaughter Kelly Swinney; and his siblings, Earnest, Gary, Charles Swinney, Ina Pauline Ogle, Ruby Richards, Lillian Rymer and Little Faye Swinney.
He is survived by: his sons, Bobby Shane Swinney of Chatsworth, GA, Joe Howard (Amanda Swinney) and Jason Swinney of Chatsworth, GA; his brothers, Edward Earl Swinney and George Howard Swinney; his grandchildren, Jessica Newton, Dakota Swinney, Noah Swinney and Joseph Swinney; and his great grandchildren, Raven and Eli. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Due to the National health crisis and the Covid-19 virus, masks must be worn properly at all times and social distancing must be observed when visiting the funeral home.
