He was predeceased by: his parents, Goldmon Roach and Rosa Jarnigan Roach; and his siblings, Hazel Roach, Grace Cate, Minnie P. Goforth, Joseph G. Roach, Jr., Robert W. Roach, Carroll Roach and Clyde Roach.

He is survived by: his daughter Susan Hixenbaugh; his grandson Jacob Hixenbaugh of Cohutta, GA.; his sister Bonnie Morgan of Whitfield County, GA.; his nieces, Kristen Radovich and Loretta Langley; his nephew Patrick Roach; and his cousins, Gene Roach, Don Roach and Donna Roach.
