He was predeceased by: his wife Peggy Willis Barrs; and his sister Lynette Barrs Summers. He is survived by: his children, Carl D. "Sam" Barrs (Debbie), Connie Barrs Howard (Pryor), Cathy Barrs Coody (Bill), Craig Barrs (Annie) and Laura Barrs Bowen (Jackie); and his brothers, John Robert "Bobby" Barrs and Charles Edward Barrs. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
