He is survived by: his wife Sheila Smith Crenshaw; his children, Samuel Leon Crenshaw, Jr. (Darliene), Diane Elizabeth Crenshaw, Julie Claire Estep, Sandra Gaye Sawyer (Joseph) and Shannon Morris (Douglas); his grandchildren, Andy Ballard, David Michael Anderson, Sara Rucker (T. J.), Jesse Hamill, Jackson Hamill, Jordan Victoria, Mary Estep, Meghan Crenshaw, Mackenzie Crenshaw, Emily Finch (Terence), Elizabeth Miolen (Ryan), Kimberly Smith (Wesley), Joshua Morris and Caroline Morris; and his great grandchildren, Cameron Knight, Ally Anderson, William Rucker, Noah Finch, Asa Finch, Ezra Finch, Lilah Finch, Levi Smith, Ellie Smith and Charlie Smith. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
