He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie Elford and Bertie Jane Dykes; his brother Garvin Dykes; his grandson David Monroe Reyes; and his wife Doreen Murphy Dykes (England).
He is survived by: his daughters, Pandora Palmer (Keith) of McDonough and Deborah Walkinsun of Cochran, Georgia; his sisters-in-law, Faye Dykes and Pat Humphrey; and his grandchildren, Tiffany, Briana, Justin, Connor and Jake. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren as well as multiple nephews, a niece.
