It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mildred McCarthy Smith (Cochran, Georgia), who passed away on February 6, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Jordan and Mamie Clyde Floyd McCarthy; her husband Rev. George Alfred Smith; and her siblings, Johnny McCarthy, Clyde McCarthy, Annie Lou McCarthy and Juanita Harris.
She is survived by: her children, Terry Smith (Dianne) of Forsyth, Gale Rye (J. R.) of Rentz, Debby Layson (Tony) of Juliette, Wanda Andrade of Macon, Ronnie Smith (Donna) of Cochran and Carmela Roberts (Stephen) of Sparta. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
