He was predeceased by: his father Claude Hattaway; his brother Joel Hattaway; and his brother-in-law Durwood Lee. He is survived by: his mother Jeanette Hattaway; his sons, Joseph Hattaway and Jason Hattaway; his grandchildren, Jetta and Kenzie Hattaway; and his siblings, Danny Hattaway (Janice), Ellen Lee of Cochran and Helen Hill (Douglas) of Cochran.
