With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Jane Sumner (Cochran, Georgia), born in Albany, Georgia, who passed away on July 24, 2021 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Alton Dobbs, Jr. and Mary Wynn Dobbs Smith; her sister Billie Jean Dobbs; and her stepfather Charlie C. Ryals. She is survived by: her husband Larry Sumner of Cochran, GA; her sons, Eric Sumner (Julie) of Nashville, TN and David Sumner (Stephanie) of Cochran, GA; her granddaughters, Sophia and Sadie of Cochran, GA; her sister Connie Barnett of Perry, GA; and her stepfather Kennon Smith of Cadwell, GA.. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to First Baptist Church of Cochran or a charity of one's choice.
