It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Martin Young (Cochran, Georgia), born in Montgomery, Alabama, who passed away on January 30, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Wallace Young and Minnie Baker Young; his stepmother Ruth Duke Young; his sister Phyllis Young Cordell; his grandson Cody Lamar Young; and his siblings-in-law, Ansel James Wheeler, Jr. and Cynthia Anne Wheeler.

He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Amelia Callen Henretty (Chris) of Dunwoody and Wallace Lamar (Brittney) of Cochran; his grandchildren, Mason Thomas Henretty, Mathew Martin Henretty, Maci Agnes Young and BreAnna Lynn Maddox; his siblings-in-law, Donna Wheeler Farrior (Jim) of Montgomery, AL, Mary Drue Wheeler of Dothan, AL and Dee Cordell of Gadsden, AL; and his stepsiblings, Bill Duke (Maddie) of Atlanta and Allison Duke Mescha (John) of Miami, FL. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the family kindly asks that you remain in your car to maintain social distancing.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Ronald McDonald House of Macon or a charity of your choice.

“Charlie and I are just so sad to hear about Marty’s passing. I have known Marty throughout my working career in the finance industry.
