She was predeceased by: her parents, Ivey J. Garnto and Mattie Lou Garnto (Warren); her husband Willie Lamar Mathis Sr.; her son Willie Lamar Mathis Jr.; and her siblings, Joel T. Garnto, Willie Charlie Garnto, Rosa Lee Brady, Lavada Mathis, Virgie Garnto and Gertrude Woodard.
She is survived by: her sisters, Lavenia Greenaway, Kattie Lou Kopp of Myrtle Beach, S. C and Virginia Cook of Lumber City; her children, Jackie Kilchriss of Cochran, Bernice Cook of Cochran and Rickey Mathis of Cochran; her grandchildren, James Pritchett (Kayse), Tammy Bivona (Richard) of Cochran and Lisa Harden (Steve) of Aurora; and her great grandchildren, Anna Roland, Morgan Pritchett, Ashlyn and Peyton Bivona.
