He was predeceased by: his wife Jane Dobbs Sumner; and his parents, Rolan Aushton and Marie Posey Sumner. He is survived by: his sons, Eric Sumner (Julie) of Nashville, TN and David Sumner (Stephanie) of Cochran; his granddaughters, Sophia and Sadie; and his sister-in-law Connie Barnett of Perry. He is also survived by several nieces, a nephew and cousins.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Mathis Funeral Home (151 E Dykes St, Cochran, GA 31014).
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Georgia Canine Rescue and Rehab (GCRR) of Cochran, 235 Mac Thompson Road, Cochran, GA 31014.
